Strategic Church Planting
Initially launched in 2020, the Agape Vision 2030 set forth a strategic project for the Church Planting Initiative to establish 300 healthy churches among unreached people in Myanmar by the end of 2030.
In February 2023, we established the Leadership Team at Agape Church Planting, marking a significant step in our strategic church planting initiative, and officially launched Agape Vision 2030, which has since been extended to Agape Vision 2033.
Agape Vision 2033 is a strategic church planting initiative that aims to establish 300 healthy churches among unreached people in Myanmar by the end of 2033.

Our passion is to glorify God by creating flourishing communities of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ through multiplying healthy disciples, churches, and leaders in every community in Myanmar.
We envision a flourishing movement of disciples who make disciples, churches that multiply churches, and leaders who develop leaders to accelerate the fulfillment of the Great Commission in Myanmar.

- We partner with called, equipped, qualified, and strategic church planters who are committed to multiplying disciples, churches, and leaders in every community in Myanmar.
- We collaborate with like-minded sending churches, associations of churches, and church planting organizations to accelerate church planting movement in Myanmar.
- We work among unreached people groups in Myanmar.
How We Serve
- We mobilize churches and resources for church planting movements and equip, develop, and empower national leaders to create flourishing communities of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ through multiplying healthy disciples, churches, and leaders everywhere.
- We provide ongoing support and resources for church planters and their families and incentivize them as they do the hard work of making disciples, planting churches, and developing leaders.
- We seek to glorify God by planting 300 healthy churches among unreached people in Myanmar by the end of 2033.
Where We Work
The Republic of the Union of Myanmar
Myanmar (formerly Burma) is a country in Southeast Asia, bordered on the west by India and Bangladesh, on the north and northeast by China, and on the east and southeast by Laos and Thailand.
Myanmar is an ethno-cultural country with 135 officially recognized ethnic groups, cultures, traditions, and tribal dialects that reflect cultural differences in communication.
Buddhism as a state religion, Myanmar is a multi-religious plural society with a population of 54 million; the major religions are Buddhism at 76.2%, Christianity at 9.0%, Ethnic Religion at 7.1%, Islam at 4.8%, Hinduism at 1.7%, Unknown at 0.7%, Non-religious at 0.4%, and Animism at 0.1%. Become a Church Planter
A strategic church planter will undergo a healthy process of seeking the will of God and preparing for church planting, joining a national movement of disciples who make disciples, churches that multiply churches, and leaders who develop leaders — thereby catalyzing the church planting movement and accelerating the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
A strategic church planter takes the initiative to create flourishing communities of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, while leading a new church plant to engage, grow, develop, and empower everyone to multiply disciples, churches, and leaders everywhere.
Church Planting Training Program
The Church Planting Training Program is a specialized, fast-paced disciple making and church planting training initiative designed to equip, develop, and empower strategic church planters who will make disciples and plant healthy churches that multiply healthy disciples, churches, and leaders in every community of Myanmar.
Our master plan for Agape Vision 2033 is to establish church planting training centers in strategic locations across Myanmar. In 2026, we will launch three training centers in the Yangon, Mandalay, and Sagaing regions. Our goal is to train and equip 300 strategic church planters across Myanmar by 2033.
Training and Development
Strategic church planters are required to join the training and development programs offered by Agape Church Planting in collaboration with Agape University and our partner organizations.
We currently have six training and development programs:
- Evangelism and Discipleship Program
- Church Planting Training Program
- Missions and Church Planting Program
- Leadership Development Program
- Entrepreneurship and Business Development Program
- Children’s Ministry Training and Development Program
We provide training and development programs to equip, develop, and empower healthy leaders to multiply healthy disciples, churches, and leaders in every community in Myanmar.
Church Planting Internship
The Church Planting Internship Program will enable interns to gain experience in mission-oriented research, multicultural missions, disciple making, small group leadership, and church planting among unreached people groups in Myanmar.
Church Planting Interns will work in their new church plants in various parts of Myanmar for 2 – 3 months. The strategic church planters will work with a team of practice leaders and seasoned practitioners to multiply disciples and establish new churches among unreached people groups.
During this Church Planting Internship, strategic church planters will be required to conduct mission-oriented research, write a strategic envisioning, and develop a Church Planting Master Plan.

The Church Planting Fund provides seed funding for church plants to help them plant and grow healthy churches that multiply healthy disciples, churches, and leaders in every community in Myanmar.

We are a church planting organization committed to providing initial financial resources for church plants in the first five years of church planting to help them launch healthy churches that become locally sustainable and support the acceleration of church planting movement in Myanmar.
We are committed to providing seed funding for church plants to help them launch healthy churches that become sustainable within five to ten years.

You are not alone — our team of practice leaders and seasoned practitioners is behind you, encouraging and supporting you as you do the hard work of making disciples, planting churches, and developing leaders.
Agape Church Plants are fundamentally biblical, missional, independent, healthy churches led by healthy leaders with their own leadership teams.
Strategic Initiatives
