Agape University School of Business and Entrepreneurship provides Christ-centered, high-quality business and entrepreneurship education for leaders called to business as mission and marketplace ministry in the corporate world.

The Agape University School of Business and Entrepreneurship has upgraded its Professional Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Business Development Program to enhance the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning, with the aim of delivering quality education and academic excellence that drives business and leadership excellence.

Program Introduction

Initially started in March 2017 as the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Business Development at the initiative of Agape Entrepreneurship Association, we have been privileged to train and equip over 50 bivocational and covocational ministers, missional entrepreneurs, and small business owners from Yangon, Ayeyarwady, and Rakhine in Yangon, Myanmar.

Through our Micro and Small Business Development (MSBD) initiative, we provided a Micro Business Development program for low-income families in one of the outskirts of Yangon City from 2015 to 2016, and a Small Business Development program for church planters and missional entrepreneurs in collaboration with our partner organizations from 2017 to 2021.

The Entrepreneurship and Business Development Program is focused on entrepreneurship development, micro and small business development, essential business management skills, business strategy development, business model innovation, and missional business and marketplace ministry.

Startup Ventures

In collaboration with Agape Group’s Startup Ventures, we provide entrepreneurship and business development, individual business coaching and mentoring, and strategy development consulting services to help entrepreneurs make better business decisions, overcome business challenges, achieve breakthrough business, create sustainable business growth, and increase business efficiency.

Agape Startup Ventures is a startup incubator and accelerator committed to providing startup ventures with access to entrepreneurship and business training, missional impact investors, expert business advisers, business mentorship, and practical strategic support for business growth and scalability.

We seek to help strategic church planters who are working among unreached people groups to start and grow missional businesses, build sustainable business and ministry models, create financial freedom for families, and in so doing, live out God’s call to create, make a positive impact, and catalyze holistic transformational development in their communities through business.

Course Overview

The Professional Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Business Development program is designed to equip, develop, empower, and support entrepreneurs in building core competencies essential for entrepreneurship and business development. These competencies encompass critical and creative thinking, developing effective business strategies, enhancing business efficiency, adhering to ethical business practices, communicating effectively, and building scalable business models.

You will learn to turn your innovative ideas into successful missional business ventures, engaging your sphere of influence and creating authentic ministry opportunities that lead to the holistic transformation of individuals, families, and communities in the four bottom lines: spiritual, social, financial, and environmental.

Course Modules

The Entrepreneurship and Business Development Program is delivered through a virtual blended learning model, divided into eight mandatory modules:

• Module 1: Biblical Theology of Business
• Module 2: Microenterprise
• Module 3: Entrepreneurship
• Module 4: Strategic Marketing
• Module 5: Finance and Accounting
• Module 6: Business as Mission Model
• Module 7: Strategy and Operations
• Module 8: Business Development
• Module 9: Business Plan

Course Credit

Each modular course is composed of 6 virtual classes occurring every Thursday (2 hours per session and a total of 12 hours of direct instruction), over 8 hours of student work per week, and a total of 33 hours per month for learning and business practicum outside of the virtual classroom, for a total of 45 hours.

Course Duration

The duration of the course is 9 months, including practical workbook exercises, market research, business plan, and business communication.

The Virtual Events will cover three main areas:

• Business as Mission Conference
• Business Planning Workshop
• MSBD Capital Workshop

The eligibility criteria for admission in Professional Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Business Development:
